Windows 10: Windows 11 Touchpad Gestures not present after the updates

Hai Folks,I am using an HP Pavilion. Following my recent upgrade to Windows 11, the touchpad gestures are no longer working. I have tried the following:1. I checked touchpad settings in Bluetooth and devices --> touchpad and there are no further options for enabling gestures. Under the gestures and interaction section, I can see only the tap option2. I checked for driver updates which are currently up to date, reinstalled drivers, and checked for overall PC updates which are also currently up to date.I don't know what else to try. Please help!! This has been quite frustr

I am using a Lenovo Thinkpad. Following my recent upgrade to Windows 11, the touchpad gestures are no longer working. I have tried the following:

1. I checked touchpad settings in bluetooth and devices --> touchpad and there are no further options for enabling gestures.

1b. Under this same section, a resourced directed to look for scroll and zoom settings, but that setting menu is not visible.

2. I checked for driver updates (currently up-to-date), reinstalled drivers, and checked for overall PC updates (currently up-to-date).

I don't know what else to try. Please help!! This has been quite frustrating, so if there is a solution I have overlooked, I would love to look into it.

Disabling touchpad gestures in Windows 10

Hi Andrzej,

Precision touchpad is one of the improvements recently brought to Windows 10 to support touch gestures. Is you device running on Windows Creators Update? If yes, follow the steps below to disable touchpad:

• Go to Settings.
• Select Ease of Access.
• Click Touchpad.
• Under Touchpad, toggle the switch on or off.
• You can also uncheck the box beside Leave touchpad on the when a mouse is connectedoption to disable it when you use a traditional mouse.
  

Once done with the steps above, check if the issue will persist.

Touchpad gestures NOT working

Hi Abuzar,

Your touchpad drivers might be outdated or corrupted. I would suggest that you update the touchpad driver. Follow the steps below:

• Press Windows key and X together and select
  Device Manager.
• Locate the touchpad driver.
• Right-click on the touchpad driver icon and click Update Driver software.
• Click on Search automatically for Updated driver software option.

If the driver for Windows 10 is not available, download and reinstall the latest touchpad drivers from the manufacturer website.
