Windows 10: Windows 11 TPM Not Ready on Wake from Sleep

I have a work laptop with windows 11 Enterprise 21H2. I generally have Teams and Outlook open during the day. I let it sleep overnight with all the apps still running but when I wake it up in the morning I get an error in Outlook and Teams saying the TPM module has malfunctioned and I'm no longer able to use Outlook and Teams until I restart. I've checked tpm.msc when this happens and it shows that the TPM module is not ready for use. I've tried clicking Prepare TPM but that doesn't put the TPM module in the ready state. Once I restart the TPM module is ready for use and works fine.I haven't s

I suggest you to check which devices are configured to wake up the computer from sleep by following the steps below:

• Right click on Start icon and select Command Prompt (Admin).
• Type the command line below:

Powercfg /devicequery wake_armed

3. Check if the devices (Keyboard, Mouse, Ethernet cable) are listed.

If the system is not going to sleep and going to Hybernate, the only option to wake up is to press the Power button.

computer wake-up after sleep

There's a possibility that the settings that enables your Space bar to wake your computer up from sleep was reset after updating Windows. If this what had happened, we suggest that you just re-set it up. See the steps below on how to do
so:

• Press Windows key and type keyboard in.
• Click on Keyboard option and a pop-up windows should show up.
• From there, go to > Hardware tab > Properties >
  Change settings > Power management > Allow this device to wake the computer >
  OK/Apply.
