Windows 10: Windows 11 - UNABLE TO ADD DEVICE Setting > Bluetooth & Devices >Printers & Scanner > ADD...

When I hit Add Device Setting > Bluetooth & Devices >Printers & Scanner > ADD DEVICE the option gets greyed out and it keeps spinning. Also unable to delete old printers tried deleting from devices, from device manager and registryMy printer was working a month ago as I was able to successfully add device after new windows 11 install but it stopped working recently. The printer I am using is HP but other people are reporting similar issues with different brand as well. Not a printer issue because I cant even go past the Add device option on the Setting > Bluetooth &

Devices

Devices connected to your PC:

1. Open Settings.
2. Click Devices.
3. Click Connected Devices.
4. A list appears showing all the devices that are connected to your Windows 10 computer or device.
5. Click Bluetooth, if it’s available. You see a list of Bluetooth devices that are available in the area. They may or may not be connected to your computer.
6. Click Printers & Scanners. A list appears showing all the printers and scanners that are installed on your computer.

windows 10 VERY slow when trying to open Devices & Printers?

Windows still has a MS-version of Bluetooth stack, and running BT services by default.
Didn't pay attention to the fact that you don't have a Bluetooth adapter.
Scratch my previous suggestion, and disable everything bluetooth-related in services. If that does not help - check network and sharing settings.
Devices and Printers manager also looks for network-attached multimedia devices (e.g. PCs with streaming service enabled) and network printers. If you by any chance changed network/homegroup settings on your additional PCs, then it could've affected the discovery speed on your computer. Still not sure how to fix it.

Another method you may try is to uninstall and reinstall the printer. The following are the steps:



Remove your printer

• Select the Start button, then select Settings > Devices > Printers and Scanners.
• Under Printers & scanners, find the printer, select it, and then select Remove device.

Install or add a local printer

• Select the Start button, then select Settings > Devices > Printers and Scanners.
• Under Printers & Scanners, see if your printer is installed.
• If you don’t see your device, select Add a printer or scanner. Wait for it to find available printers, choose the one you want, and then select Add device.

On the other hand, we suggest also that you reach out the manufacturer of your printer/scanner for the driver availability or work around.
