Windows 10: Windows 11 > Unable to get rid of user names & email being displayed on login screens

I am on Windows 11Iam unable to get rid of user names & email being displayed on login screensI tried to change the settings from Sign in options. I restarted. The user names & email address still shows on teh screenThen I tried to do this usng Group Policy editor as shown on this webpagehttps://thegeekpage.com/hide-show-username-and-email-from-windows-11-lock-screen/I restarted the computerBut it did not work either

Unknown user account at windows 10 login screen

I have the same issue but I have 11 users and now on the log in screen I have 11 user names and 11 of the "password" with the "key" next to them. So, that's 22 logins on the lock screen. The "password" logins are actually the users. I am trying to get rid
of the "password" tabs so only my user names show on the login screen. I checked for the registry folder you mentioned and it is not in the list.

Any other suggestions?

 

Login Screen showing wrong user account for display names (Domain)

Hi,

When I log onto a windows 10 computer, log out, remote onto the computer with a different account and then log out, the login screen wont update the display name but it will update the user name.

I noticed this started with 1703 and have the same issue with 1709.

Any idea on how to get the Display name to update or to completely hide the remote users details and just show the original users login details?

This is an example of the login screen after doing the above process. Also seems to happen to some users that share a computer.

goto CONTROL PANEL/ USER ACCOUNTS then you have to remove all the other accounts except for the one you logon with....then restart...it should bypass the login tho it will still show the screen for it...it will continue to load windows...good luck*Rockout :rockout:



edit:: it asks for a login when there are more then one accounts..or if you set a pw to your login name...
