  1. Windows 11: Unable to install several apps from MS Store - always getting error 0x800705AA

Hello!I hadn't had any issues w/ the store for a while granted, I don't use it that much, but today I went to update my WhatsApp desktop client which is installed from the store and it errored out. I tried rebooting and it still gave the same error. Oddly, now WhatsApp isn't even installed on my PC. I tried installing a few other apps from the MS Store as a test, and they all give the same 0x800705AA error.I've tried all sorts of things:1 Rebooting countless times : 2 Making sure windows 11 is fully updated3 Ran DISM multiple times4 Ran sfc /scannow also multiple times5

    :)

  2. Windows 11: Unable to install several apps from MS Store - always getting error 0x800705AA

    Hello!

I hadn't had any issues w/ the store for a while (granted, I don't use it that much), but today I went to update my WhatsApp desktop client (which is installed from the store) and it errored out. I tried rebooting and it still gave the same error. Oddly, now WhatsApp isn't even installed on my PC.

I tried installing a few other apps from the MS Store as a test, and they all give the same 0x800705AA error.

I've tried all sorts of things:

    1) Rebooting (countless times Windows 11: Unable to install several apps from MS Store - always getting error 0x800705AA :) )
    2) Making sure windows 11 is fully updated
    3) Ran DISM (multiple times)
    4) Ran sfc /scannow (also multiple times)

    5) Ran wsreset

But the store still won't install anything. All the apps I had tried to install show "Error" and when I click "Retry" they re-download and then sit on "Installing..." for a few seconds, and then return the 0x800705AA error.

I'll try to attach some screenshots, not sure it's working since I dont' see them listed anywhere in this composer(?)

EDIT; Doesn't look like the images attached. They were just screenshots of how the store simply shows an error for everything I try to install.
Also, I have done a few other things when trying to solve this (since I had seen these also mentioned) -

    1) Checked time& date as well as region (all good)

    2) tried Repair'ing and Reset'ing the MS Store (in Settings -> Apps)

    2) tried "re-registering" MS Store using the Admin Powershell "Get-AppXPackage (...)" command.

  3. Windows 11: Unable to install several apps from MS Store - always getting error 0x800705AA

I guess I am perplexed why only some apps don't seem to want to install. I would have expected either all apps to fail, or for them to work.

    Failed:

    - WhatsApp

    - Netflix

    - Prime Video

    Worked:

    - Pandora

    - LinkedIn

    - Paramount+

I am not sure why... it's always the same error - "0x800705AA" (This code seems to be somewhat generic, referring to insufficient "resources", from what I can tell)

Is there really no install log that the MS Store writes out as it's trying to do its thing?

I guess I'll try an in-place Upgrade, but might do that tomorrow AM since it's 1am here now Windows 11: Unable to install several apps from MS Store - always getting error 0x800705AA :)

    Thanks again,

Apps listed in the Store need to be approved by MS, otherwise you can download/install apps the same as you did on Windows 7. All "Metro" apps though must be installed by using the Store, afaik anyways.
