Windows 10: Windows 11 Update causing Brightness Issues

Hello,After updating to Windows 11, my laptop screen has been kind of problematic.Moving my mouse often causes the screen brightness to double, even at the highest brightness setting, and if 2 or more windows of any application or browser are overlapped, the one in front becomes a bright, translucent white- not consistently, but for a second or two before going back to normal. Videos from any application or browser apart from Chrome are also at this double-brightness, and anything overlapping it becomes translucent white as well. Turning off hardware acceleration in Chrome fixed the video

  To turn adaptive brightness on or off when your computer is running on battery power, click

  To turn adaptive brightness on or off when your computer is plugged into an outlet, click
  Plugged in, and then, in the list, click On or
  Off.
  
• 
  Click Apply. Click
  OK.

Method 2:

Step 1:
Update the Display driver.

Please follow the steps given below to update the display driver.

• 
  Press Windows key + X when you are at desktop.
  
• 
  Select Device Manager.
  
• 
  Expand Display adapters.
  
• 
  Right-click the display driver and click
  Update Driver Software.
  
• 
  Select Search Automatically for Updated Driver Software.
  

Step 2:

Check if there are any updates for display drivers available in Optional Updates; this might fix the issue. Refer to the following steps.

• 
  At the Start screen, type Windows Update.
  
• 
  Click or tap Settings on the right side of the screen, and then select Install optional updates from the left results.
  
• 
  When the Windows Update control panel opens, click on “Check for Updates” on the top left corner to receive a fresh list of updates.

Method 2: Troubleshoot Auto brightness.

Change brightness settings

1. Go into “Control Panel” search and select “Power Options”
   
2. Click the “Change plan settings” link next to whichever plan you are currently using and then click “Change advanced power settings”.
   
3. In this new window click “Display” to open up the listings under it.
   
4. Now locate and click each of the following…”Display brightness”, “Dimmed display brightness” and “Enable adaptive brightness”.
   
5. Change each of these to the settings you wish, then click the “Apply” button and finally the “OK” button.
