Windows 10: Windows 11 update error 0x80073701

I have a Dell laptop with Windows 11, recently I have not been able to install any cumulative updates. The most recent version is '2022-05 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 for x64-based Systems KB5013943'.Every time I attempt to perform the update, it downloads the update, but the install halts. I even tried downloading the updates manually, I get the error message 0x80073701.I have attempted every solution I could find to resolve the situation, including running the troubleshooter, running the system file checker, emptying the system distribution folder, and resetting windows update and oth

I have tried all 5 solutions listed at Fix Windows Update Error 0x80073701
Unfortunately, none worked.

Hi, there appear to be errors in your log. What was the final statement on the screen?

Looks like the two key things are the error number 0x80073701
and ERROR_SXS_ASSEMBLY_MISSING

Have you also checked absolute basics:
- check your disk (e.g. HDTune v2.55 free Health and Error Scan tabs
- if ok, run
chkdsk c: /scan
from an admin command or Powershell prompt
