Windows 10: Windows 11 update - File explorer toolbar/address bar changed position

Okay, some kind of psychopath over at Microsoft has flipped the position of the toolbar and address bar in file explorer.How do I reverse this without rolling back updates so that they're back in the position where they belong, ever since Windows '98?

Cant find Toolbar in Internet explorer 11

• Did you check in setting and try to check mark the command bar and check?

I suggest you to follow some steps below and check if it helps.

• Open Internet Explorer.
• Right click on top in empty space near the tabs
  and select Menu Bar and Command Bar and check if the issue is resolved.

The address bar on File Explorer does not display. Windows 10.

1. Start Windows Explorer.

2. Click View.

3. To display Address Bar, point to Toolbars and click Address Bar.

How Delete Individual Entries in the Taskbar's Address Toolbar

Keith is correct yet again.

That Registry key contains the list of recent paths entered into the File explorer address bar.
That Address bar [Taskbar Toolbar] dropdown list is the list of recent paths entered into the File explorer address bar.

Consider making a new system image before starting.
Or at least export the Registry key in .reg format before starting - Export and Import Registry Keys - TenForumsTutorials
Then you should be able to delete individual lines from that Registry Key - right-click on the icon in the Name column & select Delete.
- You might find that you have to restart the computer before the change takes effect.
