Windows 10: Windows 11 Update for intel core i7 7740x

Hi Microsoft development team,I have a 2017 pc model which has to be upgraded to windows 11 which you forgot about for the intel core i7 7440x. I humbly request you to please update the core specifications so that I can upgrade to windows 11 You had mentioned for these core users that the update will arrive for them this year somewhere in June or May and after that no note. Thank you.

Where does this list come from? I've seen it before, on this forum, and It is still incorrect today. See above for corrections, and see the link for the current list.

No one really knows what reason Microsoft has. People have guessed, but most of the guesses can easily be debunked. In fact, your processor should be capable of running Windows 11 very well indeed, assuming the BIOS and all device drivers are up to date, and assuming you're not running some incompatible, strange applications.

 

"New" 12th generation Intel Core i7-1255U not on "Windows 11 supported Intel processors" list

This seems like to prevents me from install Windows 11 22H2 patch 5017321 on my brand new Acer Aspire 5 Intel Core i7-1255U, that was OEM-preinstalled with Windows 11. After multiple attempt on Windows Update, no suggestion on new update appeared. Tried with "Windows Update Catalogue" but got a message that prevent install (Like: This installer not applicable for your device")

Note: I was able earlier via Windows Update to update earlier pacthes and drivers for this laptop but as mentioned above not the latest one.

Is the reason for my trouble the absent of "my "processor" in Windows 11 supported Intel processors list and will it be presented or newer on that list?

Strange, because "my" processor is has newer generation Intel Core i7 than what is on that list now.

Sorry, I checking the latest list, and I don't see those I marked, on the list. At least, on this list I just now checked:

Looks like no Intel Core i5 of the 7th gen were added to the list approved for Windows 11. Only three of the 7th gen Intel Core i7 and five of the 7th gen Intel Core i9 were added.

AbhijitGtk, you are looking at the approved list for Windows 10 20H2. Not the same as Windows 11!
