Windows 10: Windows 11 update to 22H2 fails with error 0x8007001F

I am trying to update my ROG to Windows 11 22H2.I tried every means I can search from internet and still receiving the same error. Appreciate if there is any expert who can help take a look error logs. Thanks in advance.Let me know if there is anything I can provide to help the situtation.

Windows 11 update to 22H2 fails with error 0x8007001F-0x3000D

I am trying to update my desktop PC to Windows 11 22H2.

I have tried three times.

The first time I tried updating via Windows update and it failed with the error "We couldn't install this update, but you can try again (0x8007001f).

The second time I tried with the Installation Assistant after uninstalling Norton antivirus and System Mechanic, turning off my printer, replacing my ASUS mouse and keyboard with Microsoft mouse and keyboard, unplugging anything else but the mouse, keyboard and monitor, and performing all the clean boot procedures. I ran sfc /scannow and chkdsk /f. That time I received a different error I neglected to document.

The third try I used an ISO installation file with the keep everything option. That time I received a 0x8007001F-0x3000D error with the text "The installation failed in the FIRST_BOOT phase with an error during MIGRATE-DATA operation. I used the ASUS keyboard and mouse and else everything was attached. Norton was disabled and System Mechanic remained uninstalled.

In all three cases the reversion back to earlier Windows 11 happened after several reboots at 63 percent. FWIW I also updated my wife's laptop to 22H2 with no problems at all.

I could try deleting the programs and settings but am afraid it might not solve the problem. The final option would be to do a start over install or a reset.

I have had issues where Windows 11 "forgot" my pin after a restart and I had to use a password instead. I also cannot activate the Night Light.

Checking c:/Users, I discovered that I have additional users: Default, defaultuser100000, defaultuser 100001, Ira and Public in addition to my normal user irawe.

What do you suggest?

An additional observation from when I tried to fix the forgotten PIN and night light issue:

Previously I tried to do an in-place Windows 11 installation that also failed during the reboot phase. I used the keep everything option at that time as well. This means to me that something is not right with Windows.

After receiving your suggestions, I have did the driver updates from the manufacturers' websites, ran DISM and SFC, and chkdsk. I'd rather not try to update the bios of my new (from June) Gigabyte motherboard as I'm afraid to brick it. I also set up another user and noticed that I still have the night light problem.

I'll try to do the update to 22H2 again soon with all hardware unplugged except the keyboard and mouse and only Microsoft services enabled.

This error has been repeating ever since 22H2 was released. I waited a while and tried yet again today and still get the same error.

This is a brand new hand-built PC with Windows 11 and an I7-12700KF CPU, Kingston KC3000 NVMe SSD, Asus Z690P-D4 motherboard and Asus RTX 3070ti. All drivers from Asus up to date via Armoury Crate and Intel Driver Support Assistant.

setuperr.log indicates some weird problem with user profiles and other issues. I have a pretty standard setup with two local Administrator accounts.
