Windows 10: Windows 11 Update Warning Legit or Scam?

Very skeptical of computer scams. I received a warning on the tool bar at the extreme right bottom of the screen, next to the time and date, telling me I need to do a cumulative update. This sounds almost reasonable since I turned off auto updates b/c every time I get updates it fouls up something. But it ALSO wants me to "reinstall your current version of Windowsto repair system files and components". Is this legit? Should I do it or not. Update: I tried the cumulative update for Windows 11 Version 23HE--it installs about 50% then fails. What do I do next?

That's a scam call....

Microsoft will never call you out of the blue.

Best to just hang up on those scammers.

Scam! You just have to look at the address of the sender

to see that this didn't come from anyone at Microsoft.

Thank you. It stopped coming up. If it does again I'll post a picture. Glad to know it's a scam as I see in your other post.

I had hoped it was. It was only on IE not Chrome which is why I was suspicious although it looked really legit as it sent me to a page to download Windows Repair. I didn't download it.
