Windows 11 updated and now it just says "user" and "your password has expired and must be changed", I updated my password on my phone but it won't sign me in on my PC as my PC is not trying to sign into my personal Windows account. It must be the admin account. When I call for help MICROSOFT keeps auto hanging up on me beacuse it says it can't update passwords. But I never had a password on this admin account. How am I supposed to sign in? I've never set my computer to need a password to sign in. PC was custom built and I've had it for anout two months. I do not have an option to change accoun

Find next password expiration date in Windows

At work we just switched to having our normal logins be restricted and using a separate login with elevated privileges when necessary (such as for installing software, etc.). We always login with our normal restricted accounts, then use Run as different user... when we need to elevate privileges. The issue I'm having with this now is that the elevated password expires significantly sooner than my normal login, but because I don't login to the computer with the elevated account I never get a warning that it's about to expire.

I found a command that purports to show the next expiration date:

This provides a list of outputs including the following:

You can see that it says the password expires in 90 days, however this morning it expired, despite still having more than a month until the date it said.

Why might this be reporting the wrong expiration date, and can it be corrected?

Is there a better or more accurate way to find an account's password expiration date?

 

How to configure password expiration notification for domain users?

1. I would like that my users gets password expiration notification when they login to computer
   
2. Also, I would like them to receive email notifications as well.
   

All my workstations are Windows 10 and Windows 11.

I have pushed the related group policy but when I login I don't get the notification that my password will expire in X days.





3. I have no idea how to go about configuring password expiration email notifications.

How can I accomplish this?
