    Windows 11 updates are overriding my spreadsheets


    I just asked this question a week ago but can't find it now and have not received any answers or replies. Everytime my Samsung runs the windows updates, I lose my formatting for one of my highly used excel spreadsheets. I have to re-adjust columns, tab colors, view locks, etc. which is extremely time consuming when you have multiple pages to track. The files are all being saved under "microsoft spreadsheet" option vs macros, etc. options.

    Jason,

    I have a suggestion. How about updating the spreadsheet to have a section "Proposed remedy"

    What it would do is calculate how many bytes you have to move the partition forwards or backwards to achieve alignment. That way, we can just use the resulting data in a partition manager to fix it.

    • Are you referring to Windows Update when you say “after a Microsoft upgrade”?

    If there has been any updates installed on the PC recently, then you may follow these steps to uninstall the updates:


    • Press “Windows key + X” and click on “Programs and Features”.

    • Click on “View Installed Updates”. Select the update and click on uninstall. Follow the on-screen directions to complete the process.

    Once this is done restart the computer.
