Windows 11 updates wiping out links to my library of designs

Cumulative updates always wipes the indexing, why? I am a digitiser I have 22K+ designs both mine and bought, an update wipes all but a few of the links to the files, it takes 36 hours to re establish the links, so that I can see them as thumbnails in the software. Happens every time. I’m told it’s a Microsoft problem not my digitising software. What if, anything, can I do to stop this happening.Acer Aspire 32GB memory Intel i7-8550U 1.80 GHz. Intel HDD. Windows 11 Home 64 bit.

    :)

    Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK

Windows 11 Media Player - Sort Music by Folders unavailable but is available for video library?

Hi, and thanks for reaching out. My name is Saeid. I'll be happy to help you out today. You can try the following steps to resolve the issue:

I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing difficulty with the Windows 11 Media Player.

To sort your music library by folders in the Media Player, you can follow these steps:

    1-Open Windows Media Player.

2-Click on the "Music" tab to access your music library.

3-Click on the "Library" button in the top-left corner of the Media Player window.

4-Select "Manage libraries" from the drop-down menu.

5-Click on "Music" in the list of library locations.

    6-Click the "Modify" button.

7-Check the box next to "Add folders to library".

    8-Click the "OK" button.

9-Browse to the folder you want to add and select it.

10-Repeat steps 7-9 for any additional folders you want to add.

11-Click the "OK" button to close the "Music Library Locations" window.

12-Click the "Folders" button in the top-right corner of the Media Player window.

13-Select "By folder" from the drop-down menu.

Once you have completed these steps, your music library should be sorted by folders.

As for the error you're receiving when trying to play videos, error code 0x800700EA typically indicates that there is an issue with the video driver or graphics card. I would suggest checking for updates for your video driver or graphics card and installing any available updates.

I hope this helps! If you have any further questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to ask.
