    Hi all,TIA. I am trying to upgrade to windows 11 and the install fails reporting an error code 0xc1900204. I am currently on win 10 Pro. Dell Inspiron 15 5570 and help would be appreciated.

    I've used the link you've given and I still get the error code 0xc1900204. I'm on Windows 8.1. I've been told to remove mcafee to do the upgrade and then try again. I've tried 3 times and get this error code everytime.

    It's pretty frustrating. Please help!

    What edition of Windows 10 are you running. Right click start, click Run, type Winver, enter. Your edition should be in second paragraph, (Home, Pro, Education, Enterprise)
