    Windows 11 upgrade from Windows 10 2H21 question: Intel core i7-3740QM, if/when included?


    Hi, the PC Health app says that my system checks all the boxesand far exceeds minimum requirements for upgrading, with one glaring exception: my Intel Core-i7 3740QM.Any plans to include these older but high-end processors? I've seen many others asking similar questions in other forums, and 'wait and see' seems to be the consensus.Are there any plans yet, to include this generation of still high-performing and consistent CPUs in the Windows 11 approved CPU list?Thanks!

    Is the Intel Core i7 5930K Processor worth it?

    PC Builder - Intel Core i7-11700K - PCPartPicker <--- has 5GHz boost clock

    PC Builder - Intel Core i9-12900K - PCPartPicker


    I would sell the Motherboard, CPU and RAM you have and grab something... newer.
    I can make cheaper modern builds.
    I'd just hate to see you get stuck with hardware that won't be able to be sold, when the time comes.

    IF you were planning to put the 5930K in your current motherboard... it's not compatible.
    PCpartpicker doesn't show ANY 5930K for sale at ANY price. And they list all the major retailers.
