Windows 10: Windows 11 upload sits at "Calculating" for about 2 minutes and then completes

Windows 11 machine File Explorer sits at "Calculating" for about 1-2 minutes each time we try and upload a file from it and other machines to Windows Server 2022- it does not matter how big or small the file is.Looking at the Wireshark SMB2 capture, you can see the file uploads IMMEDIATELY but the client Windows 11 does not send a SMB CLOSE Request until after 2 minutes. During these few minutes, the client displays "Calculating".If I use a non AD joined windows client, it works i.e file transfer completes within 2 seconds and file transfer Window disappears. Any ideas?

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.

Windows 10 - Sleep Works But Only if 5 Minutes or Less

I've never seen at least one them not be successful.

I had suggested first to set Display at 0, Sleep at 1 minute and Hibernate at 2 minutes and then after each step sit back to observe. I have rarely had to work all the way through the list.

Absolute thoroughness is required when troubleshooting Sleep, skipping nothing and asking back if you need any help to complete a step. We often find out later that the fix was the skipped step, so please do not skip any. If you need help performing any step

The Windows Accessories Calculator (Windows 10) not working.

However, please let us know:

• When you say, “Windows Accessories Calculator” are you referring to the Windows calculator application that comes preinstalled in Windows 10?
  

• Which build version of Windows 10 are you using currently? To check type:
  winver in the search bar on the Taskbar and hit
  Enter.
  

• May I know the troubleshooting steps you have tried so far?
  

If you are referring to the Windows Calculator application, you may want to refer the troubleshooting steps mentioned below and see if that helps.



Method 1: Reset Calculator



You may want to try resetting the Calculator application and see if that helps. Refer the steps mentioned below:

1. Press Windows key + I, to open
   Settings.
   
2. Click on Apps, and select
   Apps & features from the left pane.
   
3. Scroll down, look for Calculator app, click on it and select
   Advanced options.
   
4. Click on Reset, and wait for the process to complete.
   
5. Now, try launching Calculator and check.
   

Method 2: Uninstall and reinstall



If resetting the app doesn’t help, you may want to try uninstalling it and then reinstall from Microsoft Store. Refer the steps mentioned below:

1. Press Windows key + I, to open
   Settings.
   
2. Click on Apps, and select
   Apps & features from the left pane.
   
3. Scroll down, look for Calculator app, click on it and select
   Uninstall.
   
4. Once the app is uninstalled, visit:
   https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/p/windows-calculator/9wzdncrfhvn5?activetab=pivotverviewtab and install Calculator.
