Windows 10: Windows 11 user: game sound gets weird in call

Whenever I go into a call on Discord or Zoom and I play a game or watch a video on youtube, my game, and youtube sound gets foggy and the sound is reduced and almost muted. This has been occurring to me for quite some time, I tried fixing it but it doesn't work very well.

• What is the make and model number of your PC?
  
• How did you installed the game?
  
• What happens when you try to run the game?
  
• Do you use any non-Microsoft anti-virus software?
  

Meanwhile, I would suggest you to follow the steps mentioned below and check if the issuer persists:

New User Account

I would also suggest you to create a new user account with administrative rights and check if the issue persists. Creating a new user account will not remove any data, app or settings from your current user account, this is just a troubleshooting step to eliminate the possibility of user profile corruption. Sound cuts out when in game and call

Hello Lilium,

• What happens when you only play the game and not use any other application? Does the sound stay?

Good surround sound headset

I know you say you're not that guy, but stepping into the $250+ range really brings a change in build quality that might have you never having to buy another set. Otherwise, getting 6 speakers with decent sound in a headset is hard, and that's what you are asking for, and I have no suggestions, but just a bump up the list. *Stick Out Tongue
