Windows 11 - various BSOD after clean install on new hardware

I just built a completely new PC and clean installed Win11 Pro on it.However the PC is not running stable but having BSOD all the time. Sometimes it runs smoothly for a few hours but then crashes again. Sometimes multiple times in a row. At one point the PC didn't start up at all so I had to reinstall Windows. After reinstalling Windows the crashes still reoccur. The BSOD message varies but some of the errors were the following:IRQL NOT EQUAL OR LESSKernel_Mode_Heap_CorruptionKERNEL_SECURITY_CHECK_FAILUREATTEMPTED_WRITE_TO_READONLY_MEMORYMEMORY_MANAGEMENTWhat I already tried to do:clean instal

    :)

  2. BSODs continue after clean install - hardware?

    Hello,
I previously posted here regarding a variety of BSODs I was getting on my machine which included various stop codes:

    • usbohci.sys
    • faulty hardware corrupted page
    • kernel security check failure
    • memory management
After trying a bunch of things (including some good suggestions from the forum), I gave up and did a clean Win10 install. To be clear, this was a disk format, followed by a fresh/clean install using the Windows 10 .iso image from Microsoft. This is a new thread because I re-installed Windows 10.
To my astonishment, within a day of the clean install, I already got a BSOD, this time saying "Stop Code: Memory Management". This happened as soon as I woke the machine up from idle sleep. Starting to wonder if I have hardware issues. I have installed minimal things beyond the fresh windows copy, including latest Radeon video drivers, but I don't think that's it. I've run the memcheck and diskcheck utility a bunch of times, with no problems indicated. Welcome everyone's thoughts, and thank you again!

  3. Clean Install Workaround for Vista

You may remember this news story on techPowerUp! a couple of days ago relating to the lack of clean installs when using the Upgrade Editions of Vista, which required an old OS to be installed. However, Paul Thurrott has managed to find a workaround for this issue, which ironically lets users do a clean install Vista without any previous version of Windows, albeit a little tedious. Here are the steps:
    • Boot from the Windows Vista Upgrade DVD as normal
    • When prompted for a product code, leave this blank
    • Select the version of Vista you have purchased and let Vista install
    • When you boot to your desktop for the first time, run the Vista setup from Windows
    • This time enter your product key
    • When asked whether you want to do an Upgrade of Custom install, select custom and choose a clean install
    • Windows will now install for a second time and you should be able to activate it
Remember, these steps are only advised for use in order to achieve a clean install of Vista, it is only legal to use the upgrade editions if you have previously purchased the appropriate version of Windows.

Windows 11 - various BSOD after clean install on new hardware

Sapphire 4850 bsod on new install

That could be it. Just a suggestion, never do any hardware driver updates via Windows update in the future, just download the critical updates and leave it at that. When thats done then install hardware drivers that you got from the manufacturer's site.
