Windows 10: Windows 11 Version 22H2 Cumulative Update KB5032190 breaks File Explorer -- tried everything!!

I have tried different things to understand why this update that comprehends important updates to File Explorer do break my File Explorer.What happens after update is that whenever I try to open File Explorer, my desktop flashes like if File Explorer is restarted....and no File Explorer window appears. I am practically stuck with no File Explorer, and I have to use third-party apps to access my files.To get back I had to reinstall Windows 11 over my current installation following this guide select "Use installation media to reinstall Windows 11" and using Explorer++ to navigate.Once the re

Any HEIC format support changes in 2023-11 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 22H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5032190) or KB5030509?

When copying files from my iPhone running iOS 17.1.1 to my Windows 11 Pro Surface Pro they used to be copied as JPEG files until yesterday.

The only updates that were installed on Windows yesterday are

i) "2023-11 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 22H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5032190)"

ii) Windows Configuration Update (KB5030509)

On my iPhone, all photos since 2018 show as being in HEIC format. So did Windows silently convert HEIC files to JPEG before these (KB5032190 or KB5030509) updates and has now stopped doing that?

Get the following message when trying to install Cumulative Update Windows 11 Update Version 22H2 for x64 based sytems. (KB5032190): Someting didn't go as planned. No need to worry. Undoing changes. Please keep your computer on. It recycles multiple times and repeats message before allowing me to log in. When turned on computer it starts trying to update. Please help!

Windows 11 23H2 upgrade broke File Explorer, it will not run

Good news!

Problem seems to be fixed by 2023-11 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 23H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5032190) update released 11/14 that I installed on 11/15. In the Knowledge Base notes is the following under File Explorer:

• This update addresses an issue that stops File Explorer from opening.
  

It worked for me, no longer have any problems, no need to re-install (somehow I couldn't roll back 23H2 update and had no recovery point before that time).
