Windows 10: Windows 11, Version 22H2: How do I pin my local Documents folder to Quick Access?

I bought a large SSD when building my PC with the intention of storing all files locally with an internal backup, negating the need for cloud storage and/or backup. OneDrive seems to be a big deal in Windows 11 though; the OS fought me every step of the way to storing things locally, automatically storing what would traditionally be under C:/users/<user name>/documents and C:/users/<user name>/pictures to separate OneDrive equivalents that were pinned to Quick Access in their places. As soon as I ran out of free storage with OneDrive, I was bombarded with ads to pay monthly for mor

Pin to quick access does nothing.

I seem unable to customize the quick access area in any way. I already tried the procedure outlined here:

Redirecting

Yet "pin to quick access" does absolutely nothing.

Any other suggestions?

 

Can't pin documents folder to quick access?

I am running windows 11 home. I can pin other folders to quick access but NOT documents.

Any idea what is causing this? Please help if possible.

Along with the suggestion by KeithM-60601, I suggest you to try the below steps and let us know the status of the issue.

• 
  Press Windows + E keys on the keyboard to open
  File explorer and select This PC from the left side panel of the window.
  
• 
  Open the file/folder you want to pin to Quick access.
  
• 
  Right click on Quick access located on the left side panel of the window.
  
• 
  Check if the file/folder is pinned to Quick access.
