Windows 10: [Windows 11, version 23H2] Always restart and fails

Windows 11, version 23H2 Windows Update fails to install in Windows Update. The system continually request to restart, but fails to install. I am currently running Windows 11 Version 22H2 OS Build 22621.2861. there's no report of update error, but restart notification still existAny ideas as to how I can remedy the issue and install the update? Thanks!

Update failed: Windows 11, version 23H2

Hi,

My Surface Book 3 has been trying to update to Windows 11, version 23H2 for a couple of weeks now but the update keeps failing. The error code is 0x800f0805. I've tried a couple of solutions found in various threads but nothing has worked. I don't even remember everything I've tried at this point, but willing to start from scratch and work through the list. Any help is appreciated.

The build number 22631.2506 implies the device has been upgraded to 23H2 already.

Here are the version/build numbers for Windows 11.

• 22000.xxx is 21H2
  
• 22621.xxx is 22H2
  
• 22631.xxx is 23H2

Installation of Windows 11 Update Version 23H2 fails.

I bought a used laptop with Windows 11 installed on it. Current version is 21H2. I tried to install version 23H2 but it always fails. Error code 0x80004005. I have googled this issue but none of the tipps I found there worked.
