Windows 10: Windows 11, version 24H2 plays Light Mode system sounds instead of dark system sounds.

Reciently Installed the 2024 update of Windows 11 on my HP laptop using Windows Update, after that it plays Light Mode System sounds while using Dark theme, I tried using Command Prompt and try to repair corrupted files and still it plays..Someone tell me how to fix it or what's happening?

Windows 11 Dark Mode - how to make Task Manager follow the *Applications* setting instead of the *System* setting?

The key point is that I *like* Task Manager being light, but my favourite themes tend to set the system to dark mode (including the primary screen task bar and the notification area), while leaving the application mode to be light.

Before an update, task manager always showed up light anyway, but now it is in dark mode, and most of the text (except for the Processor and Memory entries) is still in black over a near-black background, so it's marginally usable at best.

As far as I'm concerned, Task Manager is a (highly specialised) application (that's tightly integrated into the system, but not *that* tightly) in its own right, so it should follow the Applications setting (which is set to Light!). How do I make it do that without setting the system mode to light, which I don't want.

 

System sounds won't play...?

There are sounds assigned, but I have absolutely no idea where they're playing out to! Probably because the machine also has a S/PDIF and HDMI as audio sources, but my LCD doesn't have built-in speakers to play sound from. I also have USB headphones, but they don't have System Sounds​ listed in the Volume Control anywhere.

 

No System Notification Sounds Play After Update To Windows 1809.

I looked here and have compared the desktop settings to the laptops, all are set the same, which are the defaults since I have never tweaked any of these settings on any systems.

These settings are the ones that didn't make any difference when I changed them.

Volume Mixer shows me volume controls for Device and Applications, both which are set to their maximum. However the behaviour I see on the desktop machine when sliding the "Applications" volume slider is that it does not make that "beeping" sound at any point. It only beeps when I slide the "Device" volume slider, unlike what happens on the laptops.

When I am in Settings > System > Sound > I even ran the troubleshooting steps which is able to play "Test Sounds" just fine, but the system notification sounds still won't play. However when I finish the troubleshooting steps, I see this notification with a yellow exclamation mark, which may point to the issue, but am unsure how.
