Windows 10: Windows 11 Video Out Of Sync

How can I effectively address the persistent issue of video playback lag on platforms like Netflix or YouTube, where the video progressively falls behind the audio after a few minutes, with the desynchronization continuously worsening over time? It's important to note that this problem only occurs when using the default laptop speakers and not when connected to any Bluetooth devices. I have already attempted to run various troubleshooters, but they have not provided a solution. I haven't gotteen to this suggestion yet - but, I've shut down half my Extensions and, now, I get the voice of the Youtube videos - but still not the video. Thought this clue might help.

I would suggest you to follow the below steps to try resolving this issue.

Note: The steps mentioned below are applicable to Windows Media player only.

Make sure “Drop frames to keep audio and video synchronized”

1. Open Windows Media Player.

2. Click on Tools and then on Options

3. Switch to Performance tab.

4. Ensure that a check is next to the "Drop frames to keep audio and video synchronized" and "Turn on DirectX Video Acceleration for WMV files" options.

5. Click "Apply" and click "OK."

Restart Windows Media Player and open a video file. Ensure that the audio and video are in sync.
