Windows 10: Windows 11 Video Trim not working. Permanently loading after trim.

I recently bought a new PC and this machine has Windows 11 as opposed to Windows 10 with which I never had this issue. When I try to trim a video down using the trim video option in the Photos app, it does not work. It gets stuck on an infinite loading screen. I checked task manager and it seems the Photos app is running fine. I have also left it for 2 hours after trimming the video to see if the loading ends and it finally saves the trimmed video but it does not. If I quit while the loading symbol is still showing, it saves a corrupt version of the trimmed video instead.Also I have tried the

Video trimming is not working

Hello, I have tried to trim a MP4 file using both Photos and Movies & TV.

After I choose a part and click "trim", the trimming window closes off by itself and the trimmed video is saved but does not play/show anything.

I tried again and again with other MP4 files but it does not work. Please help.

trim video

in the photos app, drag the white circle from the left side to trim off the beginning of the video, you should see the video change as you do it.

Drag the white circle from the right side to trim off the ending.

it will not allow you to trim the video to less than 1 second

you can play the video at any time to see what remains after trimming.

when you are happy with the result click save a copy in the top right of the screen or right click anywhere and select save a copy, it will be saved in the original location with trim added to the filename.
