Windows 10: Windows 11 - Videos and audio will not play after I wake from sleep.

Hi,I recently bought a PC with Windows 11. I have had this very frustrating issue where if I leave the PC for a while and it goes into sleep or hibernate, once I wake it from that state it will not play Youtube videos or Spotify music etc. It will load the youtube webpage without issues, but the videos will be stuck with the loading circle and never play. I can also browse the internet fine but some pages will not load either. Also, Settings for windows will not open either - it will just show a blank screen popup with the settings icon in the middle.This is all solved with a restart of the

Audio stuttering after wake

Knowing that you have problems with your audio after waking up from sleep, you can try the following suggestions:



1. Check for Hardware Conflicts:

• Open Device Manager.
  
• Expand the “System devices” category.
  
• Look for any devices with yellow exclamation marks or error messages.
  
• If you find any conflicts, try disabling or uninstalling the conflicting devices.
  

2. Test with External Audio Device:

• Connect an external audio device, such as headphones or speakers, to the computer.
  
• If the audio stuttering persists, it suggests a problem with the Realtek audio device or its drivers.
  

3. Disable Audio Enhancements:

• Go to Control Panel > Sound.
  
• Select the Realtek audio device as the playback device.
  
• Click on the “Properties” button.
  
• Go to the “Enhancements” tab.
  
• Uncheck all the enhancement options.

Audio device unrecognised after waking from sleep


From time to time I wake my laptop from sleep and find that the audio driver (Conexant Venice) is no longer loaded. The audio hardware is listed in the Device Manager as just "base system device" (or two base system devices, to be precise). Rebooting fixes the problem each time, but it takes a while. Is there a quicker way to make the audio work again than rebooting? I've tried obvious steps like running the troubleshooter and disabling and then re-enabling the devices.
