Windows 10: Windows 11 volume and brightness sliders not working

I recently updated to Windows 11, the control panel on the bottom that controls the volume, brightness and internet etc. opens but none of the buttons are responsive. My physical buttons for volume and brightness works fine. When I click the sliders, the pop up closes out. This is really inconvenient, how can I fix it?

Volume and brightness sliders are visibility gone

In windows 11 version KB5029263, it seems the brightness and volume slider bars disappear. Why? I mean, I can see the brightness slider in settings, and the little volume icon on the taskbar, and yes, while the brightness and volume does change, the popup sliders that I usually see at the center bottom, are just gone. Why is this? I'd like to be able to see them without having to revert to the previous version of KB5028948 every time. Is there a way to even fix something so, bizarre?

 

Windows volume & brightness overlay slider missing

I cannot see the volume slider overlay and brightness slider overlay on top left of screen when i press the designated buttons on my laptop keyboard.

Brightness and volume actions work but cannot see the overlay for some reason. even tried recent update of windows and restarting the services and even disabling the device in device manager.

Any help will be appreciated

Volume slider not working on Windows 11

Hi, I'm having this problem in which the volume slider nor the hotkeys work on increasing or decreasing the volume. The visual slider works but the volume of the PC remains static. The only way to increase/decrease it is by altering the volume in the application i'm using (YouTube, Spotify, ecc). I've already tried restarting the service, windows explorer (found the same question from another user but trying the suggestions that were givven to him didn't work). Anyone knows how to fix this problem? Thanks!
