Windows 10: Windows 11 volume license activation issue

Hello,We have a windows 10 Enterprise volume product key from a special contract between our companies. We want to add windows 11 support to our product, but our windows 10 Enterprise volume license is not accepted by windows 11 activation. It shows 0x803fa067 error. But to my understanding, according to our contract our windows 10 product key should work in windows 11 as well.Do we really need to get a new contract with Microsoft in order to get windows 11 support?Thanks in advance.

Activation Issue After Upgrading to Windows 11 from Volume Licensed Windows 10

Hello,

I have this Lenovo V14 G3 IAP Laptop with Windows 10 pre-installed under a Volume: MAK license. After updating the BIOS (no i did not have an account linked to windows at the time), I upgraded to Windows 11 using the Microsoft Installation Assistant, but Windows 11 was not activated. I rolled back to Windows 10, which is currently activated.

The slmgr /dlv command provides the following details:

• License Status: Licensed
  
• Partial Product Key: [last four digits of the Product key] [ Same are visible in activation settings of windows, the rest are masked or hidden]
  
• Product Key Channel: Volume: MAK
  

I’ve attempted to upgrade again to Windows 11, but it remains unactivated, and the Activation Troubleshooter did not help. I'm unable to retrieve the full product key using standard methods, i even tried the ShowKeyPlus but it was unable to locate the key.

Any advice on how to upgrade to Windows 11 and ensure it gets activated would be greatly appreciated.

Win 10 activation is expiring - volume license

Finally got it activated but still confused as to what is really going on with activation.

here is what I did:

-got another Win7 Pro key from a friend (non volume license one)
-I tried to activate it, but it gave the same error message as before, "could not activate with this key"
-following suggestion above, I tried it a second time. This time it activated !!! (internet was connected both times)

don't know why just doing it 2 times makes it work. maybe someone else can explain that.

I checked it with ShowkeyPlus and to my surprise it now said it was activated and showed the installed key as the generic Win10Pro key that is listed in above post. But I did not enter that key. ????

 

Windows 11 Enterprise license activation issue

Our organization recently purchased brand new Lenovo desktops and laptops that come with Windows 11 Pro edition through the factory image.

We image them all through SCCM using a custom Windows 11 enterprise (v22H2) image captured from a reference virtual machine. After image process is completed, Windows updates are performed to install the latest updates and then PCs rebooted. Afterwards, we observe that the edition changes from Enterprise to Pro.

We are utilizing the KMS license keys published on the Microsoft Volume Licensing Service webiste under our organization's account. We've discovered that all the KMS license keys for both Enterprise and Pro editions are actually the same which is quite odd. In our case, they are actually Pro licenses based on the result of the license activations. That may explain why the edition changed to Pro.

Unfortunately we can't manually activate the PCs to Windows 11 Enterprise unless we use the generic volume license keys (GLVK) instead.

Is it the recommendation to use the GLVK licenses instead going forward?
