Windows 10: Windows 11 - WhatsApp and Xbox Accessories apps - UI text in Chinese characters

Windows 11 Pro 10.0.22631 Build 22631 In a couple of apps, some of the UI text is in Chinese as a UK English speaker, I am making the assumption these characters are Chinese, but they could equally be Japanese or similar language WhatsApp - Downloaded from the MS App Store. Some of the UI icons and text are in Chinese I contacted WhatsApp support and they told me the Windows app language is linked to the language settings on my mobile phone. I couldn't figure this out and ended up using the browser based whatsapp in Chrome as a workaround and it works with everything in English. Xbox Accesso

• As you have mentioned this happens only in the Admin account, is it local account set as admin account or the Microsoft account?

I would suggest you to check the all apps list and check if that Chinese character app is present.

After you try the above steps and share us the results what happens we can proceed with the further suggestions.

Hi Yi, please see my last response, let’s try to remove and re-add Xbox Accessories app. Uninstall from App List, and then go here after a reboot and reinstall -

I’m sorry we’re not having any luck. Let’s not jump to resetting windows just yet.

Within the apps list, are you able to uninstall the Xbox Accessories app? If so, let’s do that, reboot.
