    Hey everyone, I encountered a problem in the new Photos app in Windows 11.I was viewing some photos, when I saw that the Photos app showed me neither the arrow keys for moving to the previous or next picture, nor the array of the pictures in the folder. I was viewing a large collection of photos, and it was extremely annoying to close the app after a photo is viewed and then double-click the next photo to view it.I investigated if this problem existed in other directories, and found that the next photo was accessible in the Pictures and Screenshots folder.     Hello,

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

    The Photos app brings together pictures from all your devices using OneDrive, so that you can browse them by date, album or folder. It also automatically enhances photos, and creates albums for you, to showcase your best shots.

    I suggest you to follow the methods below and check if it helps:

    Method 1:

    I suggest you to change the Default apps in the setting app and verify the result. You may follow the steps in the below:

    • Go to settings and system.
    • Click on Default Apps and select the appropriately.

    Method 2:

    I suggest you to reinstall Photo app using the PowerShell command
    and reinstall using the Windows store. Follow the below steps.

    • Open the Start menu, type Windows PowerShell in the search bar.
    • Right click on the Windows PowerShell and select Run as administrator.
    • Enter the below command to uninstall the Photo app.

    •   get-appxpackage  *Microsoft.Windows.Photos* | remove-appxpackage

    To assist you better, we would like to know few answers for the questions:


    • How was the data transferred?

    • On which device is he accessing the photos? Is it on Phone or Computer?

    • If on phone, from which device did he transferred the Photos and contacts?

    • Which app are you using to access Photos?

    • What is the model of the Phone?
    This might have caused due to:


    • The Photos were not transferred properly.

    • Due to Photos file were corrupt.

    • May be due to Virus attack.

    • The format of the Photo is not compatible with your phone.
    Steps to be taken:


    • Restart or Reboot the phone.
