Windows 10: Windows 11 WIFI connects automatically to other networks

Hello:I have 2 PCs running Windows 11. I use one and my wife uses the other. We use our respective mobile phone hotspots to connect to internet for our PCs. I use my mobile hotspot HS1 by default to connect to my PC while she uses her mobile hotspot HS2 by default to connect to her PC.We also use either HS1 or HS2 on both PCs at the same time to communicate between the 2 PCs.So at any point of time both HS1 and HS2 are active, and we switch between the 2 networks as and when required. Connect to a WiFi network automatically

Hi everyone!

I was wondering if I could connect to a WiFi network (A) automatically even though I'm already connected to another WiFi network (B). The thing is, that network A is very unstable but is faster than B, and when A goes down, Windows 10 connects automatically
to B. But can Windows 10 reconnect to network A when it goes up again?

I already modified the network priorities so that A is first and B is second on the list.

Windows 10: Disable automatic connection of a wireless network

To further explain this question, let's start with a comparison between the steps you've outlined vs what I am seeing elsewhere. Your steps do provide the list of wifi networks that I use and are secured. However, when I click on the network symbol on
the lower right of the desktop screen (sorry, don't know what to call this area), it shows other networks that probably belong to the neighbors. Some of them are checked to 'automatically connect. I don't want to automatically connect to them. How can those
networks be permanently unchecked for 'automatically connect.' It cannot be permanently done on this list. Thanks, Joyce

 

Not able to connect automatically to a WIFI network since we upgraded to Windows 11

Since upgrading to Windows 11, computers no longer connect automatically to a wifi network.
