Windows 10: Windows 11 WIFI options and Airplane Mode all disappear

I purchased a new HP Envy Laptop in late April 2022. All worked will with no problem for 4 weeks or so. Then one morning, all my WIFI options and networks were gone. The WIFI networks option did not show in Internet Options at all. I took it in and the technician updated the drivers and supposedly that brought back my network options. Several weeks later it happened again. All WIFI options are gone including the WIFI option itself. The Airplane Mode is viewable but cannot be selected to be changed. This second time the technician stripped all my data again and updated the driver again

Airplane mode impossible disconnect


Good morning,
since my daughter (2 years old) switched on airplane mode last week, I'm no more able to switch it off and go back to wifi connection.
no more WiFi / airplane mode icons in wifi window on the taskbar, no more airplane mode option on network settings...
everything disappeared, apart from the airplane mode icon in the right corner of the screen, which I can not switch to WiFi mode...

airplane mode

problem was:

pc cant connect to wifi cos airplane mode randomly turned on by itself

you can google to see why computer does that - microsoft seems to have never fixed this

fixed this by turning off something in services (this goes to show how many services are bad and should be off by default, again a long-standing microsoft problem that they've never made better)


new problem:

the wifi icon on botton left changed to the airplane mode icon

and when old problem was fixed, airplane mode icon is stuck like that

what are steps to fix?

what are troubleshoot this?

hey all,

in my Win 10 network settings the "Airplane Mode" option has disappeared. there is no "Airplane" mode in my settings between "WiFi" (the 1st option) and "Data Usage" (the 2nd option where Airplane Mode should be.) does anyone know where/how it went?
