Windows 10: Windows 11 will not automatically save screenshots without OneDrive. How do I fix this?

I am running an up-to-date version of Windows 11. When I use the Print Screen key, the capture is not saved to a folder unless I have OneDrive activated. However, I do not want to use OneDrive. With OneDrive disabled, when I use the Print Screen key, the capture is saved to the clipboard. I then have to open paint or photoshop to paste the image and then save. This is incredibly inconvenient. How can I edit settings to automatically save screen captures to a local folder when I press the Print Screen key?To summarize:When I press Print Screen I want that capture to automatically save to a loca

How to automatically save a screenshot on OneDrive as a .JPG file and not a .PNG file

Hi. I have the option to automatically save screenshots on OneDrive enabled in my OneDrive settings on Windows 11. On pressing the PrtScr (print screen) button the screenshot gets saved as a .PNG file in the OneDrive Screenshots folder. Is there a way to save the screenshot automatically as a .JPG file when the PrtScr button is used to save screenshots?

 

Screenshots no longer automatically saved in Screenshots folder

For nearly 3 years, the PRT SC (print screen) button on my HP Envy laptop automatically saved screenshots in a folder called Screenshots. While I still have functionality of clicking PRT SC and can then paste the image by CTRL-V, the images are no longer
automatically being saved in the Screenshots folder or any folder as far as I can tell. What changed and how can this be fixed? I use DropBox, not OneDrive, so please no suggestions re OneDrive. Thanks.
