Windows 10: Windows 11 will not install on my new PC build ASUS Z790 GAMING WIFI7 MOTHERBOARD. CAN YOU...

I have a new PC build with an ASUS Z790 GAMING WIFI7 motherboard. My PC enters the BIOS screen, I select my bootable thumb drive that was formatted with FAT32, and it contains Windows 11 downloaded from Windows. It boots from the BIOS screen; I enter the blue screen that contains the small square to "Install driver to shoe hardware". When I select browse, select the thumb drive, and install, it provides me with an error message "Error: No Drivers Found" or "Error scanning for drivers". I am unable to download Windows 11 to my PC. Help would be greatly appreciated.

Asus Z370 Maximus X Motherboards

The 9th gen processors that are currently available is still the P0 stepping and will eventually be replaced with the new R0 stepping processors.

Gigabyte redacted the new R0 processors from the list a day later.

 

No ethernet or wifi

Trying to install windows 11 pro on a new build, it has a Z790 AORUS ELITE X WIFI7 motherboard. Windows cannot see the ethernet or the wifi. I think I have installed the corrct drivers but still no luck.

 

Windows 11 installation problem on new PC build

I’ve just had this issue and it’s a total PITA.

the network driver is on the motherboard but windows installer can’t see it so gets stuck with no way to progress without networking.

I did a couple of things to move past this.

Part 1

1. download the driver from Asus and extracted to a usb
   
2. Plug the USB into the machine and hit Shift+F10 at the network screen
   
3. follow the instructions at aka.ms/networksetup
   
4. This will enable you to inject the driver
   

Part 2

1. Nothing happened after this so I rebooted the machine
   
2. Get back to the network part which still isn’t showing the network card
   
3. Press Alt-Tab and I can see a new window where the motherboard is trying to load the driver in the background but I can’t switch to it as the installer screen takes control.
   
4. Shift+F10 again pops up the Cmd prompt.
   
5. Now that’s open I can ALT-Tab to the motherboard popup and let it install the driver.
   

I broke that into two parts as part 1 may not be required. Maybe if I just rebooted the motherboard installer would have appeared anyway, but for completeness I’ve added both steps.
