Windows 10: Windows 11 will not sleep or hibernate after X minutes of inactivity

I am aware that MS removed the hibernate option in W11. I hate them for constantly adding updates that remove essential features for no reason. I only use hibernate, not shut down or sleep.Anyway I re-enabled it with regedit.My laptop CAN hibernate. I added the option to the shutdown settings, and I have also replaced the power button on my laptop with hibernate. So I will hibernate with the shutdown button, or I can press the power key on my laptop to enter hibernate. The issue is with the power plan settings. But it affects BOTH, sleep and hibernate. I would suggest you to change the Power save option to avoid the computer go to sleep with in 2 minute.

Follow the steps:

• 
  Right click on the start button
  and select Control Panel.
  
• 
  Next select Power option
  (search in the search bar option if unable to found).
  
• 
  Click on the Power saver
  and then select Change Plan Settings.
  
• 
  Make the changes according to you and save it.
  

If you are still facing the issue then try running troubleshooter for
Power. Follow the steps below:

• 
  Press Windows + X key.　
  
• 
  Select Control panel.
  
• 
  In the search box, type
  Troubleshooter and then click Troubleshooting.
  
• 
  Click on Power
  and click on next.
  
• 
  Follow the onscreen instruction.

Windows 10 (sometimes) goes to sleep after only 2 minutes of inactivity

Your screensaver might be one of the possible reasons why your computer goes to sleep every time the computer is inactive. It is possible that the idle time is set every 2 minutes. Having said that, you can try adjusting the waiting time by following the
steps below and see if it makes any difference:

• Go to Control Panel, click on Appearance and Personalization.
• Select Personalization.
  
• Click on Screen Saver at the bottom right.
• Adjust the waiting time and hit Apply.

If the issue persists, we recommend trying the suggestions posted by Aleksandr 10 in this

I've never seen at least one them not be successful.

I had suggested first to set Display at 0, Sleep at 1 minute and Hibernate at 2 minutes and then after each step sit back to observe. I have rarely had to work all the way through the list.

Absolute thoroughness is required when troubleshooting Sleep, skipping nothing and asking back if you need any help to complete a step. We often find out later that the fix was the skipped step, so please do not skip any. If you need help performing any step
