Windows 10: Windows 11 Windows Hello all sign in options unavailable?

I'm using Windows 11. Since getting my laptop a couple years ago, I usually only use the finger print entry to unlock my computer. However, I noticed that my pin no longer works. I've been trying to access the sign in options, but it says all of them are "currently unavailable". It also has an exclamation point below it and says error try again later. There's no more information on what the error is and all options are grayed out. I can't even remove the sign in options either. What can I do to fix this?

I appreciate the efforts taken by you in resolving the issue. I understand that you are unable to use Windows Hello Face and PIN on your computer. I’ll certainly assist you with the issue.



However, please let us know:

• Are you aware of any changes made to the computer prior to this issue?
  

• Which build version of Windows 10 is installed on the computer? Refer
  Which version of Windows operating system am I running?
  

You may want to refer the troubleshooting steps mentioned below and see if that helps:



Reset Windows Hello Biometric Database:

1. Press Windows key + R, to open Run dialog box.
   
2. Type services.msc and click on OK.
   
3. Look for Windows Biometric Service, double click on it and click on Stop.
   
4. Now, go to C:\Windows\System32\WinBioDatabase, take a backup of all the files inside the WinBioDatabase folder.
   
5. After taking a backup of the files, delete all the files.
   
6. Now, open Services by following step 1 and 2, and restart the Windows Biometric Service.
   
7. Go to Start >> Settings >> Accounts >> Sign-in options and register the Face data again.

Fingerprint option to sign in unavailable windows hello

Hello, I can’t use my fingerprint or my face to sign in. I’m using this sign in option for almost 2 years and suddenly i can’t do it anymore. I went into options and saw that with windows hello the facial or fingerprints option are currently unavailable. How can i go back to the way it was? Is easier for me with facial or fingerprint.

I have an HP Envy x360 with Windows 10 (latest version). For the past couple of months my Windows Hello has not been working - fingerprint scanner/pin/face recognition doesn't work, and under sign-in options, for all the Windows Hello features it says 'This option is currently unavailable'.

I have done all the fixing, troubleshooting, and problem solving I can (including checking group policy options, uninstalling/reinstalling the driver, and repairing system files). I went through all of the suggested steps on these websites: How To Fix Windows Hello Fingerprint Not Working In Windows 10 How to fix - Windows Hello "This option is currently unavailable" -

And nothing has changed.

I did drop my computer a while ago (several months prior to the issue) which caused denting and temporarily stopped the touchscreen from responding, though everything was in working order again without any intervention within a couple of weeks. Perhaps this is a delayed issue from that?
