Windows 10: windows 11 windows reinstalled after major error removed files but storage hasnt changed

i had an error happen a few days ago where my windows hard crashed and the laptop did a system repair and reinstalled windows by restoring the computer to a previous state, it removed files as it should of but instead of "removing" the files its still taking up my storage on my disc, it should of gone down by around 100gig but hasn't its causing storage problems that i cannot fix and i cannot seem to find a fix to it Edition Windows 11 Home Version 23H2 Installed on ‎23/‎06/‎2024 OS build 22631.3737 Serial number PF4PF75F Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.22700.1009.0 Manufacture

Reinstalling Windows 10 to sell a PC - is the 'Remove everything' option enough?

Restore factory settings do list Removes your personal files, apps and settings, and reinstalls the version of Windows that came on this PC.

So if this isn't true well than just erase the drive and install a clean Windows 10 with all the drivers u need but why should it be true

Reinstall Windows?

You don't need to reinstall windows. Go to the device manager and remove uninstall the processor and motherboard drivers listed. When you start the system back up you should be able to re-install the new ones. I just changed my mobo/processor Friday, everything is fine.

BTW I have seen some reviews that state practically no difference in using more than 2gb of ram.

 

Error in reinstalling the Windows 7

A reinstall guide is the replacement of an already present operating system. So if you wish to format your hard drive and put Windows 7 onto this drive then the reinstall guide is for you. Same as a clean install but with the removal all traces of the previous operating system. You can use this guide also for replacing an older Windows with new. Lets say you have XP , and now wish to replace this with Windows 7 using the same hard drive, then these guides are for you.I have problem with the c and d drives.
