Windows 11 with AX210 unable to see 6GHz network using the latest drivers

I have an ASUS RT-AXE-7800 WiFi 6E router and tried to use an Intel AX210 PCIe card in my Lenovo P620 desktop. I know the 6GHz band works as I’ve used a Mediatek WiFi 6E and WiFi 7 adapters and everything works perfectly. Only the Intel adapter doesn’t show the 6GHz band… unless I install the old Intel driver 22.45.1.1, then the 6Ghz band shows up. I don’t have motherboard limitations nor area restrictions for the 6GHz band. The generic Microsoft driver for the Intel AX210 does show the 6GHz band, but will not accept the network credentials with the error “incorrect password entered.” So is

Windows 11 with AX210/AX211 unable to see 6GHz network using the latest drivers.

I recently bought a new Asus 6E (6GHz) router, and I have four newer laptops with Intel AX210 and AX211 wireless cards installed, all running Windows 11 or Windows 10 Professional. Two of these computers came with Windows 11 Professional and the AX210/AX211 wireless cards new, and the other two were upgraded.

None of my computers can see the 6GHz network. I know the network is broadcasting because my S21 Ultra can see and connect to the 6GHz band. I've tried the latest manufacturer driver 22.130.0.5 and latest Intel driver 22.140.0.3, and neither of them can see the 6GHz network.

In my search for help, I found this previous post Solved: ax210 window 10 21h2 not showing 6GHz networks - Intel Communities and tried the recommended older 22.45.1.1 driver and it worked. However, 22.45.1.1 was only provided by the Microsoft Insider program to enable initially enable Wi-Fi 6E support in Windows 10 and is over fifteen months old.

This doesn't seem like a hardware issue since my phone can connect to the 6GHz network, and my computers can connect to the network using the older driver. I even verified this by purchasing a different Wi-Fi 6E (6GHz) router to confirm it wasn't a router issue. However, I still can't see the 6Ghz network using any other version of the driver.

I have a help ticket open with the computer manufacturer, router manufacturer, and Intel but thought I would ask here as well since it seems like a software issue.

I even made a video showing the issue here.

Windows 11 with AX210/AX211 unable to see 6GHz network using the latest drivers.

I've tried the latest manufacturer driver 22.130.0.5, latest Intel driver 22.140.0.3, and even 22.150.0.3 and none of them can see the 6GHz network. Only when I switch to the old 22.45.1.1 does it see the 6GHz network. This is with Windows 11 and factory installed AX210/AX211 adapters on two of the computers. The other two are running Windows 10 and have the exact same issue. They can only see the 6GHz network using the old driver which Microsoft provided to Windows Insider Preview to initially enable Wi-Fi 6E in Windows 10.

I went from an AX-11000 to the AXE-16000. Just didn't change the network name. Even tried the AXE-11000. Still cannot see the 6GHz network.

Windows 11 with AX210 unable to see 6GHz network using the latest drivers

Windows 11 with AX210/AX211 unable to see 6GHz network using the latest drivers.

Since Windows 11 supports native Wi-Fi 6E, I have not made any registry edits to those computers.

I've tried that. You can actually use the device manager in Windows 11 to view devices by driver and uninstall them all.

I have sent my configuration file, as well as my system log file to Asus along with my issues.

Normally I use separate networks to configure different clients, i.e. 2.4Ghz, 5Ghz-1, 5GHz-2, and recently 6Ghz. I tried Smart connect and am still unable to see 6GHz networks.

For the two Windows 11 computers I have a i7-12700H with an AX211, and i7-11800H with an AX210. Both are shipped this way from Dell.

Wi-Fi 6E is enabled and functional as my S21 Ultra can connect to the 6GHz band. See the screenshot of both the GT-AXE16000 and GT-AXE11000 broadcasting 6GHz.
