Discus and support Windows 11, won't let me change the hour format to 12 hours. in Windows 10 Software and Apps to solve the problem; I've read and watched all kind of yt videos to try to figure this out.     Windows 11, won't let me change the hour format to 12 hours.


    I've read and watched all kind of yt videos to try to figure this out. But nothing is working. If you can see, the option is not available for me. Does anyone have any advice?

    Windows 10. 12 to 24 hours

    Hi Sandra,

    Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

    To change the time format from 12 hour to 24 hour in Windows 10.

    Follow the steps:

    • Navigate to Control panel.
    • In the category view of the control panel, click on the
      ‘Change date, time, or number formats’.
    • Change the short time to HH:mm from the drop down.
    • Press Apply to make the changes.
    • Now your time format will change to 24 hour format.

    Windows 11, won't let me change the hour format to 12 hours.

    Time setting reverts to 12 hour format on restarts

    I prefer to use the 24 hour clock and I set it up that way.
    However next time I start up windows the time has been reset to 12 hour format.

    Most annoying! *Banghead

    Any ideas/suggestions?
