Windows 10: Windows 11 won't sleep after idle time

Hello all. I am having a problem with my system sleeping whilst idle. It wont do it. I have tried every fix I can find including changing plan settings within Windows to using the "sfc /scannow" command in the CMD. I have prevented devices from waking Windows in the device manager and I've even disabled fast boot in Windows and in my BIOS and nothing seems to be working. It will go to sleep perfectly fine if I press it in the power options but not after it has been left idle for my specified amount of time. I did also have this issue with Windows 10 before I upgraded to Windows 11 too. Other t

Laptop won' t shutdown (or restart) and sleep [takes forever]

The situation:

• When shutting down, the laptop proceeds as normal until the screen turns off.
• After the screen turns off, it takes a while for the battery LED to go off.
• After that the power led remains on and it looks like the laptop is stuck in this state forever.
• When I try to get my laptop to sleep, something similar happens; the power led remains on, the battery led turns off and the laptop appears to be stuck in this state.

My laptop is: Asus FX553VD.

What I've tried:

• I have tried to troubleshoot power management and power options.
• Tried clean boot.
• Updated the BIOS.
• Reinstalled windows and tried shutdown and sleep (without installing the drivers and stuff), however that didn't work either.

Additional Info:

• I have multiple operating systems installed in my laptop, however this problem persists on windows only (the OSes are installed on different drives).
• The disk usage is abnormally high.
• There are spikes in CPU usage that kick up the fan really fast while idle.

Please suggest other ideas as to what I should do?

Entering Away Mode instead of Sleep as a result of system idle?

What I ended up doing is that...

1. I set the system's sleep & hibernation timer to "Never" as you suggested and...
   
2. I created a .bat file, which sends the system into sleep after a certain idle period. Due to my Away Mode Policy, the computer does not go to normal Sleep, but instead goes into Away Mode instead, because the .bat file is considered as "User intiated action"
   
3. I then scheduled the .bat file to be run after a certain time period of idle with Task Scheduler
