Windows 10: Windows 11 WSL2 is broken after updated on 15th Mar

WSL2 for windows

I have failed into installing WSL for Windows. I have read here: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/win.../install-win10 how to do it, and at step 4:

1. Download the latest package:
   
   • WSL2 Linux kernel update package for x64 machines
   [COLOR=var(--text)][COLOR=var(--info-dark)] Note[/COLOR]
   If you're using an ARM64 machine, please download the ARM64 package instead. If you're not sure what kind of machine you have, open Command Prompt or PowerShell and enter: systeminfo | find "System Type".

2. Run the update package downloaded in the previous step. (Double-click to run - you will be prompted for elevated permissions, select ‘yes’ to approve this installation.)

broken titlebar's text on wsl2 ubuntu-22.04LTS

I am using wsl2 ubuntu-22.04LTS on window 11.

The text of the titlebar of all the terminals is broken. They are displayed in greek letters. For example, see the attached image, titlebar of the gnuplot window from the command: gnuplot>plot x





It seems that some font setting is missing. But I am unable to figure it out. Can anyone help me to resolve this issue?

 

Apps not working

Known issue caused by this month's update.Two workarounds:

• Do a system restore and go back to any restore point before 15th of June.Then block the update.(If you need the instructions for blocking I would provide.)
