Windows 10: Windows 1803 Update

I've been having issues installing 1803 since it's release, I've been holing off installing it again for a while; hoping that Microsoft releases an update to fix the update, I've also been looking for answers myself, still no luck.

The install begins as normal, I see the message telling me the progress percentage and not to unplug my device, my PC restarts multiple times as expected, it's when the install reaches over 80% the problems start to show, my PC will reboot one last time, then appears a black screen with the message "Installing previous version of Windows". (1709).

Event Viewer shows this code as one of the errors: 0xC1900101 (Source: Windows Update Client), at the same time and error for a: Timeout of 30000 Milliseconds occurs, (Source: Service Control Manager).
These same issues also happen on my Surface 3.

Does anyone have any idea on how to fix this?

Win10: windows update stuck at never ending loop ?

When in win10:

• Update&security -> Windows update -> Finding update... .... .... ....

Planning to download the latest Win10.ISO (vers.1803) and manually update:
- Then wait that my ordered new SSD arrives and clone the old HDD to it.

Any Office365 users here? Does Outlook (or any Office app for that matter) request activation after each system restart post this Windows 1803 update?

• What is the make and model of your PC?
• How did you upgrade your computer to Windows 1803?
• Did you get any error messages?
• Do you have a 3rd party antivirus installed on your PC?

Normally, if your PC meets the requirements for the upgrade, it will be offered to you. If your PC doesn't have an incompatible hardware, then we can proceed with troubleshooting steps.
