Windows 10: Windows 1809 Upgrade Fails after rebooting at 15% complete and Reverts to 1803.

This happens with both the Update assistant and a DVD made from the downloadable ISO. Any ideas on what might cause this, or where to look for what might cause this much appreciated. Hardware is a Surface Book with 1TB / 16G.

Updated (and Failed) 1803, not updated to 1809

1809 was released yesterday, but will not be available to everyone for at least a few days. My concern is not with 1809 so much as it is with the unusual updates to 1803 that appeared yesterday and, if I read the information about them, have to be installed before 1809 can be installed. Given that the one of those 1803 updates failed on my computer, and I see nothing to indicate that the other was even offered, I wonder if 1809 will be offered.

I tried all possible solutions listed into the links you provided. Unfortunately, not a single one is working. Let me restate the issue: the installation always fails at one and the same point at the first reboot:

• 
  15 % overall progress;
  
• 
  50 % Copy files stage (first one);
  

Once it fails it “restores” the previous OS (Windows 8.1 Pro) and reports this error:

The failure happens consistently: docked and ‘solo’; Windows Update and media tool; etc.

One thing is persistent in the “setupact.log” file entries:

AudMig: RegOpenKeyEx can't open audioendpointbuilder Upgrade key with Hresult 0x80070002. Most likely not an upgrade

I've updated the drivers for all audio devices listed in the device manager, so it looks like the above message is a red herring. Is there any other places where I should look into?

Windows 10 ISO 1803 and 1809 stuck at 10% installation! Updates in Win 10 Pro X64 freezes!

I try to upgrade from 1709 to 1809 direct is that possible?

But all fail and stuck, hang and freez the system every time i try to upgrade, to 1803 or 1809.

It treat on updates and specialy cumulative updates my system like a virus.

Any suggestion or help or information that help to solve my problem are very welcome.
