Discus and support windows 2000 compatibility mode in Windows 10 Ask Insider to solve the problem; I am trying to run a program in win 2000 compatibility mode, but there is none in the selection menu.     I am trying to run a program in win 2000 compatibility mode, but there is none in the selection menu.

    It only offers 95, 98, XP, Vista, 7 and 8. Is there any way to "get" a windows 2000 compatibility mode?

    Please reply: Did you receive any error message? If yes, kindly respond with the error message and error code.



    We would appreciate if you tell us about your issue briefly. However, I would also suggest you to follow the steps below and see if it helps:

    • Right click on Microsoft Works 2000.
    • Click on Properties .
    • Go to the Compatibility tab.
    • Click on Run this program in compatibility mode and select the previous version which worked fine for you.

    JimWynne the “MS FrontPage 2000”, is not installed.
    Is it possible to use compatibility mode to install the program? If not, what is the technique to install this MS program?

    When I type compatibility into Cortana it offers suggestions for programs ALREADY installed.

    Where can I find instructions to use the “compatibility mode” in Windows 10?
    Someone in the MS Community recently suggested using the compatibility mode but I haven’t found the function in my Win10.

    I still use the great “MS FrontPage 2000”, it was working fine on my old system using Windows 10, but will not load on my new computer also using Windows 10.


    Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.
