Windows 10: Windows 2004 issues

My initial experience with Windows 2004 back in May was not positive so I rolled back. Then, this update was forced upon me again recently, I didn't approve it yet it took two nights to download and install. There seems to be little option for the user to actually control what happens to our own software at present but ah well, Microsoft will just do whatever they want and stuff the consumer. However, I was prepared to give 2004 another go thinking bugs had been sorted. But Windows 2004 now means my laptop takes ages to boot up 60-180 s, there's often a high disk drive usage, Microsoft Edge crashes upon first use, and there have been several instances of Office documents crashing, most often when multiple files are open. Now, on boot up it gives a loading screen for 180 s with audible hard drive usage.

My laptop specs are: core i5-7300HQ 2.5 GHz, 8 GB RAM, 1TB HDD. Purchase date: 2018.


I resent that I buy a working system and this is then made less user-friendly and with more errors by your company and at every point you remove our choice in these matters. The solutions offered seem to be along the lines of "well, improve your hardware or update your drivers then", yet why should I have to take more time to get something back to a state I was very happy with? I am OK with basic aspects of computing but am by no means great. I find this all to be incredibly frustrating and the amount of time wasted on waiting for updates to download including in work hours by the way - it seems impossible to stop them is tiring.

That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx
