Windows 10: Windows 2016 Server Error 0x00000003 when connecting printer to workstation

Windows server 2016 has two printers installed VIA TCP/IP.
Workstations include Windows 7 and Windows 10 machines all x64 bit.

1st printer is a Xerox Work Centre 7830 with a Work Centre 7830 PostScript Driver installed.
The printer is installed on the Windows server and prints from the server. I have shared the printer on the server and have listed it in the directory. There are additional drivers that should allow the printer to connect to a x64 device. When I try and connect to the printer through the directory it finds the printer,
starts to look for a driver and then fails with error code 0x00000003. This happens on all x64 bit machines both Windows 7 and Windows 10.

The 2nd printer, is a SHARP MX-C300P that is installed on the 2016 server, and shared over the directory. It has a generic Microsoft PCL 6 driver. When I try and connect the printer to a windows 7 machine,I get the same 0x00000003 error. When I try to connect the printer to a Windows 10 machine the printer connects just fine. I have looked over all of the settings and everything seems to be working.

I have Googled this error and nothing has worked to fix it. I can provide more information but really need this fixed.

Windows Server 2016 - Setup Local Domain Controller

Great post! Thank you for these detailed instructions. I got to step 4.11 - 4.13. I am running Windows Server 2016 as a VM in VM Workstation 12 Pro. Before I made these changes, I had internet access. My VM Network Adapter is set to NAT.

I'm now connected to my new domain and I've changed the Preferred DNS address back to my router's IP address, but I'm still showing "No Internet access" and I have the yellow warning on my network connection. Any suggestions? I've restarted the vm and the main machine with no luck.

 

Can't share printer—getting error message

Not working... I see the printer, but when I go to add it, I get this messge: "Windows could not connect to the printer (error 0x0000000d)."

I installed the 32-bit drivers for it and printed something out from the pc the printer is connected to, and I went to the additional drivers page and added drivers for 64-bit, and when I went to add the printer on the other machine, it copied drivers over, but after that I got the error message listed above...

 

Windows 10 Domain Workstation cannot browse server shares

I have a single Windows 10 (14393) workstation on a network consisting of 13 workstations all connected to a Windows Server Essentials 2016 domain that will not see/browse the server shares. The services are all running and shows connected in the server
dashboard. The workstation can ping the server and an nslookup resolves the server just fine. The workstation sees only 3 other domain workstations in 'network', but can ping them all. I've disabled the firewall and AV with no luck. A net use \\servername
and net use \\serverIPaddress both return Error 53 - Network path not found. From the server I can browse to the \\workstation\c$ just fine. SMB is all enabled, and I've scanned for malware, nothing found. Also, I can browse the Internet just
fine, so networking appears to be working as expected. I simply cannot reach the shared drives on the local server. DNS is set to the Essentials Server. Any ideas on where to look next?
