    Windows 20H2 Cumulative update KB4601050 causes .NET Frame Work Unhandled exception issue


    I have got an strange issue after updating windows KB4601050 update . When I restart the PC every time the message pops up it reads

    .NET Frame Work "Unhandled exception has occurred in your application. If you click Continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue"

    "Configuration system failed to initialize"

    I have tried all the following methods to fix the issue but I am unable to fix this issue. None of the following methods worked for me. After every restart above unhandled exception message pops up.

    Tried methods
    1. Ran sfc scan.. before running sfc scan ran DISM.exe
    after that sfc scan completed 100% and it said
    Windows resource protection did not find any intergrity violations
    2. Tried Clean boot option
    3. Deleted config files in user\appdata\local
    4. Ran .net framework repair tool
    5. Ran dot net clean up tool
    6. Uninstalled the windows update KB4601050 that caused the issue

    Please help me resolve this issue. This is very annoying and disturbing problem for me. Reply folks pls.
