Windows 10: Windows 22H2 "Bad Image" winhttp winhttp.dll error - fixed!

Just posting this as it seems every other thread recommends re-installing Windows as soon as this error is thrown, which is understandable, as the winhttp.dll file literally stops half the system functioning."regsvr32.exe - Bad Image /n .... dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error. Try installing the program again using the original installation media or contact your system administrator or the software vendor for support. Error status 0xc0000020."The solution I found was:1. WINHTTP mismatch on Windows Server 2016

Hi Guys

I have issue with Surveillance Software running on Windows Server 2016. The application crashes and leaves a log on Event Viewer.

ERROR -----------"Faulting module name: WINHTTP.dll, version: 10.0.14393.2848, time stamp: 0x5c7f6204 ,Exception code: 0xc0000005".

INFO --------------"PS C:\WINDOWS\system32> (Get-Item -Path C:\Windows\System32\winhttp.dll).VersionInfo

ProductVersion FileVersion FileName

10.0.14393.0 10.0.14393.0 ... C:\Windows\System32\winhttp.dll"

On this above error i see that version of WINHTTP was 10.0.14393.2848 and Windows WINHTTP version as 10.0.14393.0 from the power-shell.

Question : Is that winhttp error on EV is related to version mismatch.

Auto Tuning feature for WinHTTP traffic & Large Send Offload

There's a post about this where someone asks if Auto Tuning feature for WinHTTP traffic is needed and the Windows Support said, "If you enable "Receive Window Auto-Tuning" for "WinHTTP" traffic, data transfers over

How do I enable Receive Window Auto-Tuning for WinHTTP? My Auto-Tuning Level is normal. Does that mean it's enabled for WinHTTP?

There's a YouTube video that shows how to do this by editing the Registry. But I don't know if that's the right way to do it. ow.ly/Monn30g36De

Also, Large Send Offload. Is it safe to disable it?
