Windows 10: Windows 64 Pro ver 19041.388 Breaking Ethernet

After updating to Windows Pro 64 ver 19041.388, my (1G wired ethernet) internet connection dropped from 150 mbps d/l to 50 mbps d/l on 2 of 4 home PCs. At the same time, the u/l speed sent from 7 to 20 on one but stayed at 7 on the other. It also changed static IP addresses to dynamic, but only on one of the slowed systems; the other changed system is fast.

I've swapped cables, connections, ports. Nothing. Tried jumbo packets, forced 1G connections, disabled auto tune, and the standard tricks Google delivers. Nothing. Also tried new drivers, old drivers. Again, nothing.

What now? I hate to try an OS rollback.

Windows 10 Pro and Ergnomic Break Reminder

Apologies for the late reply.



Do you remember installing any break reminder software?



It looks like it is a pop up from a break reminder software.



I suggest you to look for this in Programs in features and uninstall it if do not use it.



Try the following steps:

• 
  Press Windows + R keys to open Run Command
  
• 
  Type Appwiz.cpl and hit enter
  
• 
  Search for the programs and un-install it.

Replacement for photo viewer

Win ver 19041.388

Just do not like this "new" photo viewer, it is just cumbersome to operate, lot of extra steps etc. I like the older Win photo viewer, however since JPG files are saved as "unhandled Extension handler finder", *Confused I need something else. Appreciate any suggestions that is not overly optioned, just a simple viewer. Tx

 

Compability of Asus H97-Pro with Windows 10 (64-bit)


I'm planning to have Asus H97-Pro & Windows 10 (64-bit) in my new system.

While cross checking compatibilty I landed on Windows Compatible Products List
and according to that Asus H97-Pro is only comatible with Windows 7 & 8.

Please suggest whether Asus H97-Pro is actually compatible with Windows 10 or not.
