  1. Windows 7 and IE 8 not supported


    I was gifted an older Gateway computer recently. Before doing so, the previous user reverted the OS from Windows 10 back to windows 7 and wiped all the programs he had installed, leaving Internet Explorer 8 as the only browser. Can't say why, I guess he thought he was being thorough.

    I tried updating back to 10 but I get messages saying the browser isn't supported. Can't update Explorer either. I haven't tried downloading another browser or using a system restore because I don't know if that would do more harm than good.

    I'm stymied at this point, any advice anybody can give would be appreciated.

    DTS supported natively by Windows 8/8.1 and it should work on windows 10 too just DDL require to unlock your driver .

    I've stepped back to 7 from 8 there are more and better drivers for 7 .and its close enough to 7 in use she'd like it
